This page is meant to
help locate information about particular interests.
St. Dunstan's strives to be an whole community, but
caters to different needs of the congregation. We hope
the following list, which is not intended to be exhaustive,
will be helpful for finding a caring niche. (For more
information, contact the parish office at 703-356-7533.)
Play Group
The Play Group allows children under three to socialize
with each other on a regular basis in a safe environment.
It also gives parents and caregivers the opportunity
to get together with other people who care for children
in a relaxed setting, and enjoy adult company. The
Play Group meets every Friday in the church nursery
(in the Parish Hall) from 10:30 a.m. until noon.
Sunday School
The Sunday School has classes for Children from age
three through eighth grade. Children age 3 through
third grade attend Children's Chapel in the Parish
Hall, while children from grades 4 to 9 grade attend
their own classes. (Click here to check out the web
page for the nine- to eleven-year-old classs.) Sunday
School begins at 10:00 a.m., 15 minutes before the
start of the 10:15 a.m. service, and all children
re-join the service later for Communion.
Supper Club
This group has been meeting once a month for fine dining
and fellowship for over forty year. The second Saturday
of each month finds the Supper Club being hosted
by another parish family. The evening is a casual
potluck feast of food and friends, for the grown-up
20's & 30's.
Shrine Mont
St. Dunstan's annual retreat weekend is held in the
mountains sometime in mid-September. We welcome families,
singles, first timers, and those for whom this is
an annual highlight. |
