Service Information
We have two services on Sundays, one at 8:15 a.m. and the other at 10:15 a.m. All services offer the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist.  The 10:15 service features spiritual music, including full choir and pipe organ, as well as nursery care. On the first and third Sundays, we offer the Ministry of Healing to those who so desire immediately following Communion at both services. If you would like to come and join us, please look at our schedule of services and directions.

Weekly Worship Schedule
We encourage you to join us in our growth in spirit and service. Contact us at (703) 356-7533 if you need more information.

Sunday Services

8:15 a.m.: Holy Eucharist Rite I*
10:00 a.m.: Sunday School and Children’s Chapel
10:15 a.m.: Holy Eucharist with music
(professional nursery provided)

The 8:15 a.m. service uses Rite I* exclusively and the service is simple with no music.
The 10:15 a.m. service is  Rite II*, except during Lent and Advent.

Weekday Worship Schedule
Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m.: Holy Eucharist with Healing

* Rite I & Rite II are forms of worship found in the Book of Common Prayer (BCP). The BCP contains all the standard spoken information of a service including prayers, responses, and the words of consecration.   The BCP permits all attending the service, even those not familiar with the Episcopal liturgy, to follow along and participate in the service.

The order of the service is always the same with readings from the Bible followed by the sermon, the prayers and then the Eucharist, which is also called Holy Communion. At St. Dunstan's anyone who has been baptized is welcome to receive bread and wine. Others may participate by going to the altar rail to receive a blessing.

Choirs

St. Dunstan's has four choirs from September-June, and then a summer choir. The Adult choir rehearses on Thursday evenings and sings at the 10:15 a.m. service every week. The Joy choir and Praise choir (both children's choirs) sing at  periodic family services and throughout the year. Teens and young at heart adults in the Spirit choir sing a blend of contemporary and traditional music at family and other special services. Everyone is welcome.

Information for Children

Professional nursery care is provided for infants yearround during Sunday services. Children and young people attend Sunday School yearround during the 10:15 services (beginning at 10 a.m.)

All children rejoin their parents in the sanctuary after the Rector’s sermon and participate in the remainder of the service, including Holy Communion.
